High Street, Cheveley

Architectural, Quantity Surveying and Clerk of Works services were delivered as part of the scheme.

Mixed Use Housing Scheme

Cheveley is a small rural village in Cambridgeshire, located about four miles southeast of Newmarket. Opportunities for affordable housing are rare due to the area's diverse demographic, from wealthy residents to stable hands and agricultural workers.

The development incorporated a mix of brick and rendered finishes to reflect the local character. The developer constructed the affordable homes using the same materials and specifications as the market sale dwellings to ensure the scheme remained fully tenure blind.

The scheme was fully designed and tendered under a PPC partnering contract, enabling open-book accounting and profit-sharing arrangements. The contract was awarded to a small, locally based contractor with proven experience in delivering both bespoke one-off homes and affordable housing, making them a well-suited partner for the project's objectives.
